Extreme Reading Challenge

Thank you to all those who took part in our extreme reading challenge competition - as you can see we had some very extreme readers!  Our 3 most extreme readers, chosen by Mrs Rooth, were:  Ella, Summer and Jake.

Please ensure you are supervised by a responsible adult!

We will be learning lots of fun things this Summer Term:

This term we will be researching, presenting and interpreting data using tables, bar charts and pictograms.

This term we will be writing Imaginary World Stories.  We will be reading The Iron Man, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and The Hobbit, and using these to help us create our own Imaginary World Story.

Living Things and their Habitats! We will be finding out about different habitats and how these provide plants and animals basic needs to survive.  We will also look at how animals obtain their food and

what a food chain is.

Treasures of the Peak! We will be studying geography this term and looking at the local area of the Peak District.

This term will be athletics.

In computing this term we will be creating our own digital e-book all about the Peak District.

Homework will usually be set on a Thursday to be returned back into school the following Wednesday. Each week you will be set a Maths task, an English task and a Spelling task.  Additionally, you are expected to read 4x a week and practise your times tables.  Good luck!
