On Wednesday 6th February, we celebrated French Day at MJS. Our day started with a special assembly, where some children (some past pupils) performed a play in French. In involved audience participation so we could practise our vocabulary.
We also had a French visitor (also known as Amelie's Mum). She gave us an interesting talk about what it's like to go to school in France. We looked at the similarities and the differences. She also played the accordion for us!
We learnt a song in French - see the video of our performance.
The theme for the day was Aujourd’hui on va au zoo! We shared a a book that we all recognised: Cher zoo - Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell. We played animal bingo and produced some writing about zoo animals.
A fun day was had by all!
Merci à Mme Bateman pour l'organisation.
