Mrs Harnden

Hello from Mrs Harnden

Hello, my name is Mrs Harnden and I'm going to be sharing Cherry Class with Mrs Fowkes. I can't wait to  get to know all of you when you join us at the Junior School. I live in Melbourne and so I may have seen some of you before and not realised who you are! There are a few members of our class that I definitely know as they are part of the Girl guiding sections of Rainbows and Brownies that meet at The Hut on Packhorse Road. I lead '2nd Melbourne Rainbow Unit' every Tuesday ( before lockdown) along with Mrs Sabine (She works hard at lunchtime preparing your food at MJS). She will be another friendly face to look out for.

When I'm not at school, I enjoy growing fruit and vegetables in my allotment. This year, I'm growing curly kale, butternut squash, carrots, lettuce, runner beans and lots and lots and lots of weeds. During lockdown, I built a greenhouse on my allotment so now I'm able to grow tomatoes and peppers. I love to walk to my allotment in the morning, harvest some vegetables and eat them for my tea on the same day.

Going on long walks with my two dogs, Bonnie and Bella, is also something I enjoy doing. Both dogs are terriers;Bonnie is  black  and Bella is  gingery brown. Look out for us when you are 'out and about' and please give us a wave!

Have a safe and happy time over the next few weeks and I look forward to meeting you all very soon.

Mrs Harnden
