Daily message from Mrs Whirledge

Good morning.

Today we can think about people who inspire us. I was delighted to hear that Captain, now Colonel Tom, is to be knighted by the Queen. He is a deserving hero of our time.

Today is the anniversary of a piece of aviation history, the first solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean, from New York to Paris, by Charles Lindberg in his plane, the Spirit of St Louis, in 1927. Other famous aviators include Amy Johnson and Beryl Markham.

Remember to have your dreams and aspirations, you never know what opportunities are around the corner. As Einstein said 'In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity'.

Take care

Mrs Whirledge
