I was amazed to hear about the discovery of a Roman city called Falerii Novi, which is about 30 miles north of Rome, on the news this morning. It was discovered and mapped with a special camera. A case of new technology helping us to know more about the past.
This is quite a coincidence, as today is the anniversary of the birth of George Stephenson in 1781. He was considered to be the 'Father of the Railways' and his famous locomotive was called The Rocket.
If you have time today, you could find out more about these events and people.
