In Year 5, we need to be building our reading stamina. We should be able to read for at least 30 minutes at a time (that's in your head - not out loud!).  Like most activities you have to practise. You wouldn't run a marathon without completing any training so build it up over time.


Of course, the best way is to lose yourself in a really good book. Look at the list below to give you some ideas or ask your teachers. The Year 5 teachers are all serious bookworms!
