The children have made a fantastic start to Y3 and we are so pleased with how well they have settled in and approached the challenge of moving to the junior school during these difficult times.

Currently, we have an outdoor P.E session each day, so the children will need to keep a pair of trainers in school. These will be kept hung up on a peg in the cloakroom, so please send a draw-string bag to keep them in if your child hasn't already got one. Please remember to label these and all other items of uniform, especially jumpers and cardigans.

Reading books can be changed on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday and will be quarantined in-between these days. If your child has finished their book and not changed it, this may be due to a lack of books on their reading stage due to the quarantine time required. They will be given a new one as soon as possible. Please write any reading into their home-school diaries, including any other non-school reading they may do. If they read 4 times (or more) a week, they will be given a reading reward sticker.

They will also have a library book soon. The library system operates on a password number, which is stuck in their diaries. (The Reading Cloud itself is very unreliable for home use, so please do not worry if you cannot get onto this. However, we have found that it operates better on chrome.)

Home work at present will consist of reading and getting used to using Spelling Shed and TT Rockstars. Please let us know if you cannot access these at home. (Links and passwords are in home-school diaries.)

If your child has completed any other work or achieved something they would like to show us, please take a photo and email it to us. We would love to see these, but must discourage bringing things into school at this present time.

If you need to contact us at any point, we can be available to talk to you directly after school (unfortunately this will have take place outside) or you can email the class email addresses. We check emails regularly, but may not pick up messages immediately. A note can also be put in your child's diary that they can show us.
