MJS Gladiators

MJS Gladiators – Our Pupil Council

The MJS Gladiators represent the voice of our pupils at Melbourne Junior School. This council is made up of elected representatives from each class who work together to make our school a better place for everyone.

The Gladiators meet regularly to discuss ideas, raise concerns, and plan initiatives that benefit the whole school community. They play an important role in ensuring that pupils have a say in decisions that affect their learning and school life.

What do the MJS Gladiators do?

  • Collect feedback from classmates and share it at council meetings.
  • Organise events such as charity fundraisers and themed days.
  • Suggest improvements to school facilities and activities.
  • Promote our school values of Ambition, Belonging and Participation across the school.

Being part of the Gladiators helps pupils develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. It’s an opportunity to make a real difference and learn how to work collaboratively for the good of the school.

On Monday 10th November, our school Gladiators delivered an anti-bullying activity: at the school gate scenario.

We identified the different roles within the image and the part they play and discussed how we can use ‘power for good’ – this year’s theme.
