Governors and staff believe that uniform contributes to the sense of belonging to a school.

Our school uniform is blue and grey. Whilst it is not a requirement to have uniform with our logo, blue sweatshirts and white polo shirts bearing the MJS logo are available from Pupil Schoolwear in Swadlincote.

We ask that children have flat black shoes, not trainers, or boots, for everyday wear, and that jewellery is not worn in school.

Families in receipt of Pupil Premium and Free School Meals are entitled to support with the purchase of school uniform. Please email the School Office:  info@melbourne-jun.derbyshire.sch.uk for more information.
 

For competitive and team sports activities, children are grouped in four houses as follows:

Derwent - Green

Haddon - Blue

Kinder - Red

Strutt - Yellow

Coloured PE T-shirts in the four associated colours can be purchased from any clothing retailer and are available from Pupil Schoolwear in Swadlincote and Melbourne Print Shop.

In addition, all children will need PE shoes or trainers, and for cold days, a long-sleeved games shirt/tracksuit top.  Children should wear PE kit to school on their designated PE days. Please ask the class teacher for more information.
