To support their work on Richard III, children in Year 5 visited the Richard III Centre and cathedral.
Councillors Dale and Muller visited Melbourne Junior School.
The South Derbyshire Sports Partnership Cross Country event took place on 29 January at Melbourne Sports Partnership. Six pupils from each year group took part. Many were placed and Melbourne were overall winners and will take part in County finals on 11 March.
The PTA kindly paid for Indian Dance workshops for all classes.

Four buses took the whole school to Derby Arena to see Mother Goose. This was the first visit since 2019 and was enjoyed by all.
The mission for the day was to save Christmas joy after if was stolen from Mrs Whirledge by the Grinch.
Year 3 and 4 were very proud to perform their concerts on three occasions this week to full houses. The acting, singing and technical production were a credit to all the children and the staff who support them.
