  • Elf Day 2023

    The mission for the day was to save Christmas joy after if was stolen from Mrs Whirledge by the Grinch. 

  • The Christmas Grotto

    Year 3 and 4 were very proud to perform their concerts on three occasions this week to full houses. The acting, singing and technical production were a credit to all the children and the staff who support them.

  • Kids' Club Football

    A team of nine boys in Year 6 took part in the Kids' Cup football competition on Wednesday at Lees Brook Academy, Derby. They worked really well as a team and came third overall out of 13 teams.

  • Visit by Mrs Heather Wheeler, MP.

    Heather Wheeler, our local MP, toured the school, answered questions in assembly and met with governors. Several Year 6 children posed interesting questions for her to answer.

  • Poppy Appeal

    A big thank you to everyone who donated to the Poppy Appeal collection, we have received a certificate this week to confirm that the school raised £124.56 which is amazing. Thank you.

  • Anti-Bullying Week

    Children took part in a variety of activities in Anti- Bullying Week. This included staring the week with Odd Socks day.

  • Remembrance Day

    Four children from Year 6: Elliot, Charlie, Ellen and Elsie, laid crosses at the war memorial while Mrs Gibbs and Mrs Whirledge laid a wreath on behalf of both schools.

  • Padley Centre Donations

    Thank you to all our families who donated to our Harvest Festival collection for the Padley Centre. All the donations from both the Infant and Junior Schools were collected this morning by Bill and Ben from the Padley Centre.

  • Recycling

    Thu 26 Oct 2023

    Mrs Ryley met with Pete Tryner from the Star Foundation this week. The Star Foundation provides the recycling box located at the top of the driveway into site and they are making a donation of £725, which will be split between the Infant and Junior schools, for the donations made through the box. The Star Foundation will also be running activities and recycling workshops in the future.
